Meet Our Teachers and Staff

TEACHERS 

Principal/Teacher (Grades 6, 7, 8):  Mr. Ralph Martinez Jr.  joined VVSDA School in 2007-2008.  Ralph received his B.A. in Liberal Arts in 2001 and his M.A. in Educational Administration and Leadership in 2005, both from La Sierra University.  In 2002, he appeared in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.  His work with La Sierra's students earned him the Principles of Diversity Award in 2004.  Among his hobbies, he loves to follow his beloved Dallas Cowboys, is passionate about United States History,photographing, and documenting trips to U.S. historical sites and monuments.  Ralph also enjoys graphic design, and has played the piano since he was seven years old.  He and his wife Ailil were married on Valentine's Day 1999, and are extremely excited about being a part of Victor Valley Seventh-day Adventist School.   

 

Teacher (Grades 3, 4, 5):  Tim Pierce came to us in 2006-2007 from Hawaii, where he taught at the Adventist school. He is teaching Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades. He has expressed his passion with teaching in the small school setting, and is devoted to the development of our school. 

Teacher (Grades K, 1, 2):   Ms. Susie Hundric graduated from La Sierra University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching for Curriculum and Instruction.  She has a passion for teaching younger children.  Reaching out to the children at their level, she is able to teach the children in a way that is meaningful and memorable to them.  She believes in hands-on education enabling students to understand different concepts by being actively involved in their learning.

Music Teacher (Grades K-8th): Mr. Luiji Oliva

CAMPUS STAFF

Secretary/Treasurer: Rachael Morrell, came to us the last month of the 2006-2007 school year.  She volunteered here for two years until we hired her as our school secretary.  She always looks forward to meeting each family. She has worked as a secretary, teacher aid, and a nurse assistant.  She loves to put all her skills to work here at VVSDA school.

After School Care Provider: Claudia Rains, our new after care provider for the 2008-2009 school year.  Ms. Rains came to us from Arizona where she used to volunteer at that Seventh-day Adventist school.  We welcome you!

Custodian:  Ramona Martinez  started at the end of 2007-2008.  She is a blessing to our school!
